Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi today launched the online registration facility of Child Care Institutions across the country at a function in New Delhi.Speaking on the occasion, she said, online registration will provide a centralized system where all the information will be readily available about the CCIs in the country. She said, through the system it will be possible to know the number of children in each CCI, their availability for adoption and requirement of assistance to them. <br/><br/>Some of the salient features of the online system include e-alerts to the applicants and the registration authorities, easy information sharing and online issuance of registration certificates. The Organizations willing to run CCIs will be required to register on the portal and submit their application with complete documentation online. <br/><br/>An official release said, the he States need to designate one nodal officer at State level and one District level nodal officer in each of the district to make them responsible in the implementation of online registration process. Besides, the States will also designate an officer who will be the Registration Authority to grant registration. Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Krishna Raj was also present on the occasion.
