In Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi has appealed to all well-off and competent people for helping Divyang-disabled persons in the society. <br/><br/>Addressing Gromday Se Bharat Uday Programme at her parliamentary constituency Pilibhit on Saturday, Smt Gandhi said, central government has started various welfare schemes for uplifting of these people. <br/><br/>She said that after inception of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers will not face destruction as this scheme gives security cover to their crops from natural calamities. <br/><br/>She urged farmers and people to make maximum utilization of government schemes. She distributed helping aids and tools to more than seven thousand disabled beneficiaries on the occasion.
