West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee on Friday met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and sought Centre's help in improving the poor financial health of the state.Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mrs Banerjee said that there is acute shortage of manpower, especially in the IAS and IPS posts and large number of vacant posts at senior positions are hampering administration.Mrs Banerjee also sought a moratorium for at least three years on repayment of loan by the state, keeping in view its financial condition.She also sought the Centre's immediate intervention for repair of National Highways which are in bad condition.
