The Union Railway Minister Mamta Banerjee announced a Super fast Duranto train from Howrah to Bangalore.<br/><br/>She was speaking at a function to flag off three new trains in Bangalore.<br/><br/>The minister also announced extension of four existing trains in Karnataka.<br/><br/>The Railway minister informed that 1,13,000 acre railway property will be leased for commercial exploitation.<br/><br/>Nine automobile hubs are planned on these railway properties all over the country, she said.<br/><br/>One such automobile hub has come up in Shalimar in Howrah division, she disclosed. After the east and west fright corridors, such a corridor will be built in south India also, she pointed out.<br/><br/>To avoid holiday rush, the minister said, 2872 special trains, 4326 additional coaches and 1562 additional quotas will be made available.<br/><br/>She stressed that emphasis will be to improve railway infrastructure through public private partnership in the country.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa informed that a proposal to take up railway project jointly with Railways will be prepared and submitted to the railway minister by January next year. Union Minister of State for Railways E Ahamad and K H Muniyappa were present on the occasion.<br/>
