The Trinamool Congress has decided to withdraw support to the UPA Government in protest against their anti-people policies. Announcing this after an emergency meeting in Kolkata a shortwhile ago, the party Supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamta Banerjee said that Ministers of Trinamool Congress will submit their resignation to the Prime Minister on Friday.
AIR Correspondent reports that Trinamool Congress, an ally of the UPA Government, gave 72 hours time to the Centre for roll back of diesel price hike, cutting subsidy on LPG cylinders and FDI in retail business. The deadline expired this evening.
At present, Trinamool Congress has one Cabinet Minister and five Ministers of State in the Manmohan Singh led government.
