The West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamta Banerjee has ordered an inquiry by a two member committee into the death of 12 children at the Bidhan Chandra Roy Child hospital in Kolkata. The two member committee is to submit its report within 24 hours. 12 children have died in the hospital in the last 48 hours. The deaths of children had led to protests by their family members leading to chaos in the hospital. Our correspondent reports, the Police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse the mob.
