Mamata narrowly escapes: fire in her hotel room

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has a narrow escape after her hotel room catches fire. Details are awaited. Meanwhile, BJP has urged the Election Commission to take serious note of West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC leader Mamta Banerjee's alleged threatening speeches against Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha and certain communities during poll campaign in the state.

In a letter to the Commission, party leader R. Ramakrishna quoting media reports alleged that in a rally in Siliguri on 13th of this month, Banerjee had threatened to settle scores with Morcha once the elections are over.

He also accused the TMC chief of giving veiled threat to some communities for their support to BJP. BJP leader alleged that by her remarks Banerjee has violated the model code of conduct.
