Mamata Banerjee has been elected Trinamool Congress legislature party leader. While Partha Chatterjee elected deputy leader, Sobhandev Chattopadhyay chief whip of TC legislature party today. Mamata Banerjee said, her cabinet will be small with Congress and SUCI as partners. Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee has said that a final decision on Congress joining the new government in West Bengal will be taken by the party high command. He told media persons in Kolkata today that the decision will be disclosed at the appropriate time. Mr. Mukherjee, however, said the Congress will extend all support to the new government. Newly elected members of the Congress met in Kolkata today to discuss formation of the new government in the state. Besides Mr. Mukherjee, AICC General Secretary Incharge of West Bengal, Shakeel Ahmad were also present at the meeting. Trinamool Congress Chief Mamta Bannerjee has already invited the Congress to join the new government in the state.
