West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has demanded a special audit of expenditure in the state for the current fiscal. After meeting Finance Minister in New Delhi yesterday, she alleged that due to 35 years of misrule of the Left Front government, the system has totally collapsed in the State. She claimed that during the vote of account this year, Left Front government borrowed about 17,000 crore rupees and out of that just in two months they withdrew 9,000 crore rupees. She asked how the State government will run for the next 10 months in 8 thousand crore rupees. Describing the situation in the state as horrible she said, detailed discussions were held with the Finance Minister about the financial situation of the State.
