Railway Minster Mamata Banerjee has congratuled Railway players who won the Gold Medals today in the Common Wealth Games with their outstanding performance. The winners include Indian Railways shooter (Pistol) Anisa Sayyed (Western Railway) for winning the first Gold Medal for India in women’s section in the 25 M Pistol (Pairs Event). Her partner in the event Rahi Sarnobat was from Maharashtra. Wrestling Player Ravinder Kumar (Northern Railway) who won Gold Medal for India in 60 Kg. of Greco Roman Style wrestling category and Sanjay (Northern Railway) who clinched Gold Medal for India in 74 Kg. of Greco Roman Style wrestling category.More than 90 sportspersons from Indian Railways are participating in the Games. Railways contingent in the Indian squad participating in the Games is perhaps the biggest contingent from a single organization in the country.
