The West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamul Congress chief Ms.Mamata Banerjee says her party will work for the betterment of Jharkhand if voted to power. Addressing an election rally in Dhanbad, Ms. Banerjee said, after 'Paribartan' in West Bengal, it is time for Jharkhand to usher in change. She also claimed that TMC would be the number one party after the Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing an election rally at Sikandrabad, the BSP Chief Ms. Mayawati held responsible the Samajwadi Party for the Muzaffarnagar riots. Attacking the BJP leader Narendra Modi, Mayawati said he was responsible for the Gujarat riots in 2002. Addressing another election rally in Ghaziabad, Ms. Mayawati said, voting for the Congress would only be a waste as it is already out of the race.
