The West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee has announced, creation of Alipurduar District bifurcating Jalpaiguri District in North Bengal. Addressing a function in Cooch Behar District on Wednesday Ms. Banerjee also informed that, process is on to create another District at Asansole dividing Burdwan District. She said, creation of new District will accelerate the developmental works. The Chief Minister announced a series of developmental programmes for the Cooch Behar District.She also flagged off three new trains centering North Bengal in presence of Railway Minister Mr. Mukul Roy.
