The Centre today rubbished in the Supreme Court allegation that sacked Special Public Prosecutor Rohini Salian was asked to go soft on the accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case. <br/><br/>Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), told the court that there is no truth in it. <br/><br/>Rohatgi sought a week's time to file a counter affidavit on behalf of the government and the agency on the PIL which has alleged that Government was exerting pressure on Rohini Salian. <br/><br/>Earlier on September 11, the apex court had sought a response from the Centre and the agency on the PIL filed by a social activist.<br/>
