Malegaon blasts case: MCOCA court adjourns hearing till Feb. 7

Mumbai’s Special MCOCA court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the bail application filed by nine people accused in the 2006 Malegaon blasts case till February 7th. MCOCA Judge Yatin D Shinde asked the accused to produce certified copies of Swami Aseemanand's confession in the next hearing. All the accused have claimed that the confession refutes their involvement in the blast which killed 36 people and injured about 100 people. Earlier on Friday, the CBI opposed the bail application saying the accused had not mentioned any valid reason for seeking relief. It also sought permission from the court to investigate the case in further detail.
