All nine accused in the 2006 Malegaon blast case filed for bail before the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court in Mumbai today. The court has taken their bail petition and asked the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad and the Central Bureau of Investigation to file their replies. The court has fixed the next date of hearing on January 28.The 2006 Malegaon explosions caused deaths of at least 37 people and left more than 125 injured.
