<span style="color: #222222;">Maldives Supreme Court has deferred its hearing for tomorrow on a petition by President Abdulla Yameen to cancel the election last month in which he lost to opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Justice Dr Ahmed Abdulla Didi announced the court would decide whether to hear the testimony of secret witnesses at a final hearing tomorrow morning.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the four-hour hearing today, the president's lawyer argued the three witnesses could face serious threats if their identities were revealed.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Elections Commission's lawyer objected to allowing the secret witnesses in a case that affects the rights of a majority of Maldivians.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President Yameen is contesting the election despite publicly accepting his defeat and congratulating Mr. Solih a day after the polls.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) led by President has accused the printer of coating ballot papers with an unnamed substance to make ink marks for Mr. Yameen disappear.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Elections Commission has denied any wrongdoing, including using any special ink.&nbsp;</span>
