Maldives Prez ratifies bill on two presidential commissions to deliver truth and justice

<span style="color: #222222;">Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih today ratified the bill on two presidential commissions saying this is a step forward in their quest to deliver truth and justice to all Maldivians. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President Solih had formed two important commissions on murders and enforced disappearances and on corruption and asset recovery on his first day in office last November.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The commissions could not be ratified till new parliament came into being last month and the bills were ratified last week only. The commissions will help unearth the alleged corruption and killings carried out during the former regime of President Abdulla Yameen, who lost to Solih during last year Presidential elections.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President's Maldives Democratic party won almost three-fourth majority in parliamentary elections held in April thus empowering it to carry reforms and fulfil their promises. </span><br />
