<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;">Maldives government has said that bond with India is beyond bilateral ties and it remains a robust partner in Maldives development.</span></p> <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Vice President of Maldives, Faisal Naseem said in a programme to mark India's Republic day celebrations at Dharubaaruge last evening that bilateral relationship is forged through years of acquaintance, shared traditions and aspirations.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Naseem noted that India has proven to be a consistent and generous friend, and that India has always come to Maldives' assistance when it is needed the most.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also underscored how deeply the Maldives values the ties with India and his government's commitment to ensure that Maldives can work together in a spirit of friendship for mutual benefit.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the ceremony, the Vice President conveyed greetings and well wishes to the India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the people of India.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Vice President noted that Constitutions of both nations share the same underlying spirit and intent to provide citizens with the rights and freedoms of a democratic society.&nbsp;</span>
