Maldives government has called for an all-party meeting to discuss the ongoing crisis in the wake of emergency. <br/><br/>A short statement issued from the President's Office said, invitations have been sent to all parties to engage in dialogue with the Government. <br/><br/>However, with all the main opposition leaders either in prison or in exile, it is unlikely that opposition parties will agree for the talks.<br/><br/>Maldives Supreme Court last week ordered for the release of opposition leaders but the ruling was overturned after declaration of emergency in the country. <br/><br/>The Chief Justice and another Supreme Court judge are currently under arrest, which has invited international condemnation. <br/><br/>Lawyers of the Chief Justice, who met him under detention, said that the judge was issued death threat and was mishandled before the arrest. <br/>Meanwhile, a few European diplomats met Maldives foreign ministry officials in Male on Thursday and sought to discuss the situation with President Yameen and Parliamentary speaker, which was refused.
