Seeking to further strengthen ties with India, Maldives President Mohammed Nasheed today said there is no superpower than India in the region, with whom his country can have amicable relationship. Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of the partnership summit in Chennai this afternoon, he said climate change is an immediate issue which the countries need to address urgently. He said threat caused by climate change can be tackled through adaptation. Inviting Indian corporate to invest in the island country, Mr Nasheed said tax concessions will be given to companies which invest in infrastructure, health , education, tourism and real estate.
