Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu have notched up straight-game victories in their respective opening round women's singles matches in the 500,000 Malaysia Super Series Premier badminton tournament. In Kuala Lumur yesterday, while eighth seeded Saina got the better of Indonesia's Hera Desi 21-10 21-16, Sindhu prevailed over Lindaweni Fanetri of Indonesia 21-17 21-18.Saina faces Yao Xue of China, while Sindhu takes on sixth seed Yeon Ju Bae of Korea in the second round.In the men's singles, Parupalli Kashyap and K Srikanth entered the second round. While Kashyap outplayed Marc Zwiebler of Germany 21-19 21-13, Srikanth defeated Yun Hu of Hong Kong in three games 21-17 18-21 21-16. However, Anand Pawar and R M V Gurusaidutt crashed out of the event after suffering defeats in their first round matches.
