In Badminton, Indian shuttlers got off to a poor start at Malaysia Masters at Kuala Lumpur today. Lakshya Sen failed to qualify for the main draw. Lakshya's compatriot Shubhankar Dey also failed to make the men's singles main draw.

The biggest upset of the day for India was the ouster of the world number 12 men's doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.

The women's doubles pair of Pooja Dandu and Sanjana Santosh also failed to make the main draw.

Tomorrow, Parupalli Kashyap, Kidambi Srikanth, Sameer Verma, H.S.Prannoy and B.Sai Praneeth will open their campaign in the men's singles.

The Indian women singles shuttlers P V Sindhu and Sania Nehwal will also open their campaigns tomorrow.

In the mixed doubles, the Indian pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddy will open their campaign tomorrow as well.
