Srinivasa Kumar has said making more coastal communities Tsunami-Ready will help reducing damage due to Oceano genic hazards like Tsunami, Cyclones and others.<br />''<br />''Speaking to AIR Correspondent on the focus of INCOIS for next 25 years, as the Ministry of Earth Sciences is in focus of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, he said, under the National Tsunami-Ready Programme, INCOIS is focussing on making more coastal communities Tsunami-ready so that the extent of damage due to Oceano-genic hazards will be brought down. He said, the INCOIS has already prepared Coastal Inundation Map and Hazard map for the entire Indian coast and now working on making more and more communities Tsunami-ready as the warning system will give better results when the communities are ready to respond to the warnings.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">So far, two villages in Odisha, Noliashahi and Venkatraipur have been declared Tsunami-Ready communities as they fulfil all 11 indicators set by the ISO-UNESCO.&nbsp; India is the first country in the Indian Ocean region to meet these indicators.</span><br />
