Government is making all efforts to get the Lokpal Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha.

This was stated by Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office, V Narayansamy while talking to reporters outside Parliament today. He said, it is the collective responsibility of all the political parties to get the strong and effective Lokpal Bill cleared in the Upper House.

Mr. Narayansamy expressed hope that Trinamool Congress will lend support to Congress for getting the Bill through the Rajya Sabha.

On the other hand, BJP has said that it will bring amendments for certain clauses to make the Lokpal Bill more effective. Party spokesperson Tarun Vijay said that the Bill passed by the Lok Sabha, has some loopholes.
