The Union Minister of State for Home Mr. Ajay Maken has stressed on the need for the development of the Naxal affected areas coupled with the restoration of the democratic institutions. <br/>Speaking at the valedictory function of the 4oth All India Police Science Congress in Raipur in Chhattisgarh this evening, Mr. Makan called for a resolve in bringing to the fold of parliamentary form of democracy some misguided elements who are free from criminal records. In the context of humanizing the police forces, the minister suggested the setting up of a well equipped research and development cell in every district, police range, police zonal headquarters and DGP headquarters with a view to build up a data bank on various operational issues covering police functions. He also expressed concerns for the new age crimes and called upon the police to remain prepared for the same. <br/> The Congress had began on the 2nd of this month in Raipur in which police top brass across the country took part. <br/>
