Sports Minister Ajay Maken has asked the Indian Olympic Association, IOA, to object to the Dow Chemical's sponsorship issue in upcoming Olympic games with the International Olympics Committee, IOC. In a letter to the IOA, Mr. Maken said, there is strong public sentiment against it and a number of ex-Olympians have also raised it.<br/><br/>Dow Chemicals is one of the sponsors of upcoming London Olympics and had bought Union Carbide which is responsible for the Bhopal gas tragedy.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Working President of IOA Vijay Kumar Malhotra said that he will take up the issue with the office bearers of the association soon. Mr. Malhotra added that he will do his best to convey the concerns of the victims to IOC.
