Jammu and Kashmir State Information Commission has asked all Public Authorities of the State to make suo-moto disclosure of information in terms of Section 4 of the J&K RTI Act 2009. According to officials, Chief Information Commissioner Khursheed Ahmad Ganai issued the notification after it had come to the notice of the Commission that a large number of Public Authorities in the State have not made suo-moto disclosure of information in terms of Section 4 of the RTI Act 2009.<br/><br/>CIC asked the Public Authorities to take necessary steps so as to conform to all the provisions of Section 4 of the Act. He also recommended that action in this regard be taken and completed by or before June 30, 2017 to achieve such conformity.
