Make in India week concluding in Mumbai today

The mega event Make in India Week is concluding in Mumbai today. This event attracted a large number of investors from across the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared the event open on Saturday to give momentum to Make in India initiative. State governments fetched sizable investment by organizing investment summits here. Seminars are being held on opportunities in Textiles and Biotechnology on the last day.<br/><br/>In the seminar on textiles sector, competitiveness of Indian textiles and apparel industry is being discussed. Union Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar said that his ministry has made area specific schemes to boost this sector. Investment opportunities in the biotech sector and potential in emerging areas of Big Data and Bio-Informatics are being explore in a seminar on India Biotechnology Industry. The highlight of the day is the Make in India contest for start ups. Winner will be receive an investment of two crore rupees. Telangana and Tamilnadu governments are organizing investors meet to attract investment in their states.
