<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind today called for making Ayurveda popular through qualitative criteria of continuous research,  scientific certification and technical parameters.<br />''<br />''The President was addressing the inaugural session of the 59th General Assembly of All India Ayurveda Mahasammelan at Kalidas Sanskrit Academy in Ujjain today. The President also inaugurated the newly constructed building of Government Dhanwantri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya constructed at a cost of about Rs 20 crore.<br />''<br />''Mr.Kovind said that the Government is taking several measures from time to time for the protection and promotion of Indian systems of medicine, but after the establishment of a separate Ministry of AYUSH in the year 2014, this work has accelerated further.<br />''<br />''The President said that the result of these coordinated efforts is that research in Ayurveda is being done in about 20 countries of the world including Mauritius. Explaining the importance of Ayurveda, Mr. Kovind said that India is a country of villages and the traditional medicine system in the village is of Ayurveda even today. No medical system has taken its place so far.<br />''<br />''Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also addressed the convention.<br />''<br />''The President reviewed the ongoing development works in the Mahakal temple complex in Ujjain.<br />''<br />''Eminent Vaidya Devendra Triguna was honoured with Life Time Achievement Award in the program.</span><br />
