Major terror attack foiled by army and police in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir a major terror strike has been foiled by Army and Police with the timely recovery of six anti-tank rockets and other explosives from forest area of Pyas Chhichha in Kishtwar district of Jammu. This is for the first time that anti-tank rockets have been recovered by Police in this district during a search operation in Pyas Chhichha forests. According to official sources the unique types of rockets were fresh. The Pyas forest area is frequently visited by the militants and the explosives were reported to have been hidden by the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants to pick up them later. Apart from six anti- tank rockets, the recoveries include six wireless sets, two grenades of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) and two HE Grenades. Meanwhile, in another search operation, troops of 11 Rashtriya Rifles and Police busted a militant hideout from Metwan forests of Kishtwar district and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition which include an AK 56 rifle, a Self Loading Rifle and an INSAS Rifle. According to Defence Spokesman, the busting of the hideout and recovery of the arms and ammunition has dealt a blow to the Hizbul Mujahideen group active in Marwah.
