In Punjab, major rivers – Beas,Satluj and Ghaggar – will become pollution free by the end of November next year. Replying to a resolution in the state assembly today Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that water treatment plants are being set up in 44 cities of the state. He said that even treated water will not be discharged in the rivers.
