In Uttar Pradesh the Samajwadi party government has shifted 116 senior police officers including district police chiefs of 60 districts in a major reshuffle in police administration. District police chiefs of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Saharanpur, Allahabad, Faizabad, Moradabad, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Etah, Raebareli, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Kaushambi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao and Kannauj have been shifted in this change.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that with this reshuffle all DIG level officers posted as district police chief have been replaced. In view of recent decision for reviving of IG Zone police system in the state, Inspector Generals of police in 6 zones have been posted.
