In Uttar Pradesh, the state government has transferred 36 IPS officers in a major reshuffle. The move has affected three Inspector Generals of Police and district police chiefs of 18 districts. Quoting official sources, AIR Lucknow correspondent reports IG Allahabad zone Mr. Surya Kumar Shukla has been shifted to Gorakhpur in the same capacity, whereas DIG Allahabad district Mr. Chandra Prakash has been promoted and posted as IG Allahabad zone.<br/><br/>
