Major jolt to Mayawati as senior leader quits BSP

In a major development, senior BSP leader and leader of opposition in UP Vidhan Sabha has left BSP leveling corruption charges against BSP supremo Mayawati.

Addressing a hurriedly called press conference in Lucknow general secretary of BSP Maurya said that he was compelled to leave party as Mayawati has left the path of the welfare of Dalits and downtrodden as shown by Manyawar Kanshiram and Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar.

He also levelled charges of corruption against Mayawati saying she was all the way indulged in selling rather auctioning the tickets right from Zila Panchayat and Vidhan Sabha to Loksabha.

He said that all the principled leaders and workers are facing suffocation in the BSP as Mayawati is behaving like a dictator. He reiterated that she has completely deviated from the path shown by Kanshiram and Dr Ambedkar and only working for self interest.

Speculations are rife that Swami Prasad Maurya may join ruling Samajwadi Party where he is expected to be included in cabinet to be expanded shortly. Maywati has called a press conference this evening where she will keep her views on Maurya leaving the party.
