Major fire breaks out at FICCI building in Delhi

An early hour massive blaze engulfed the FICCI building in New Delhi destroying National Museum of Natural History and leaving two firemen injured. Police said, the fire erupted at the top floor of the building and soon spread down to other floors.<br/><br/>About 40 fire tenders were rushed to douse the blaze, which was controlled after about four hours. Two injured firemen have been admitted to RML hospital in New Delhi. No loss of life has been reported. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

Major fire breaks out at FICCI building in Delhi

A major fire broke out at FICCI building in Mandi House areas of Delhi during wee hours today. Two fire officials were seriously injured while trying to contain the blaze and were rushed to hospital where they are in critical condition. An official said, 35 fire tenders have been pressed into service to contain the fire which broke out around 1.45 AM. The fire was first reported on the top floor of the auditorium building and later spread to other floors. The operation to douse the fire is still on. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained. Senior police officials of the district and the fire department chief have rushed to the spot.
