A major fire broke out early on Tuesday morning at Anantnag District hospital but no casualty has been reported in the incident. The fire broke out at around 6 this morning in one of the wards of the hospital in Anantnag, 55 kilometers from Srinagar, following which police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and evacuated all the patients and their attendants. Twelve fire tenders took four hours to douse the flames which caused extensive damage to the ward and the laboratory of the hospital.
