Major Deswal cremated with full military honours

In Haryana, the mortal remains of Major Amit Deswal, who got martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Imphal, were consigned to flames at his native village Surheti near Jhajjar with full military honours today.<br/><br/>The hundred of peoples, relatives and his friends paid a tearful farewell to him. His body was brought from Imphal to Delhi, where Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh Suhag paid rich tributes to him.<br/><br/>From Delhi his body was brought to his native village where Haryana Agriculture Minister Om Parkash Dhankhar, former chief minister Bhupender Singh Hooda, Haryana DGP K P Singh, senior Army Officers, politicians and his family members paid him floral tributes as a mark of respect.<br/><br/>He is survived by his wife, three year old son, father, mother and sister. Haryana government has announced financial help of 50 lakh rupees and government service for one member of his family as a mark of respect to him. Major Amit Deshwal Major of 21 Para was included in Army`s special force in January and he was part of operation Hifajat-2
