Mahila Samman Savings Certificate would have tenure of two years and would offer an interest rate of 7.5%: Centre

The Centre on 27<sup>th</sup> March 2023, Monday said the Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme has been announced in the Budget with a deposit facility up to two lakh rupees in the name of women or girls for a tenure of two years at a fixed interest of 7.5 per cent.<br />'' <br />''In a written reply in Lok Sabha the Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, the scheme will start in Financial Year 2023-24.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Chaudhary further said, there is not any proposal pending to increase the limit of amount to 10 lakh rupees in the Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme to encourage the women to save their money.</span>
