The Union Tourism Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma today visited the under construction Rohtang tunnel near Sissu in Lahaul-Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh. On this occasion he complimented all the work force engaged in construction of this unique tunnel. <br/><br/>Dr. Mahesh Sharma said that the tunnel will be ready in time fixed for it and it will not only boost the tourism sector in tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti but the district would also be connected to the world through-out the year. He said that tourism in the country is getting new heights due to policies of Union Government and tourism sector is fulfilling the dream of Prime Minister regarding Ek Bharat-Shreshta Bharat.<br/><br/>Dr. Mahesh Sharma will take part in the famous Tandi Sangam festival tomorrow. Earlier Dr. Mahesh Sharma arrived at Keylong along with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's International General Secretary Dinesh Chandra, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP MP Ramswaroop Sharma and Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal by state government helicopter. All of them were greeted in traditional manner of Lahaul-Spiti by people.
