The Committee of Secretaries led by Cabinet Secretary has cleared the proposal to grant Maharatna status to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Addressing a gathering of BHEL employees in Tiruchirapalli, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Praful Patel said this.He urged BHEL to tap all opportunities including new business sectors like solar energy.
