Maharashtra's Principal Health Secretary Dr. Pradeep Kumar Vyas today reassured citizens that both the vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin, are safe and effective.&nbsp; He was speaking at an event to flag off a Multimedia Exhibition Van that will travel through the streets of Mumbai to create awareness about COVID-19 Vaccination and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said, creating awareness will lead to curbing of misinformation and rumours surrounding vaccines.<br />''<br />''&nbsp;This van is a part of the awareness campaign undertaken by the Regional Outreach Bureau – ROB, Pune in association with Maharashtra Government, World Health Organisation and UNICEF. Appreciating the initiative, Dr. Vyas said, the initiative has come at the right time as the state is witnessing a small spike in the number of new COVID cases in the last ten days.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Under this campaign, 16 specially fabricated vans displaying awareness messages will travel across 36 districts of Maharashtra. While ROB's performing artistes will bring to life the messages of Atmanirbhar Bharat and vaccination through cultural performances, the general public can also scan the QR Codes being displayed on the vans to gather more information from the official websites and social media handles. The cultural artists of Song and Drama Division will also perform in various districts to convey the government's message.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Films Division Smita Vats Sharma said that the purpose of the traveling multimedia exhibition van will be to sensitize every individual about vaccination using a digital technology and interpersonal communication.</span><br />
