<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra's Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil today said that he will call a meeting of all Opposition parties to discuss the issue of loudspeakers in religious places. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Mr. Walse Patil said, the issue is not new with the Supreme Court judgement in this regard coming in 2005.<br />''<br />''He said, the State Government had also mandated certain guidelines in terms of Noise Pollution Rules as per the Government Resolutions of 2015 and 2017. While clarifying that installation and removal of loudspeakers is not the government's responsibility, the Minister said that any religious place that wishes to use loudspeakers must have the necessary Police permit and must follow the State Guidelines. He said the government would welcome cooperation and adherence of rules from all citizens.<br />''<br />''These comments come days after Chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Raj Thackeray demanded removal of loudspeakers from mosques by 3rd of May, adding that his party will play Hanuman Chalisa outside mosques, if his demand is not met. Talking about the law and order situation, the State Home Minister said that there are inputs about tension in certain pockets. <br />''<br />''He reiterated that attempts are being made by some elements to disturb law and order, but added that the Police Department is keeping a vigil and is ready to face any untoward situation. He, however, urged citizens not to take law into their hands as the same will invite strict action. </span><br />
