Maharashtra's first 'child-friendly police station' inaugurated in Dhule

<span style="color: #222222;">The firstever children friendly police station was inaugurated in Dhule district of Maharashtra on Saturday. Set up at Azadnagar Police Station in Dhule city, it was conceptualised by district collector Abhinav Goyal and District Women and Child Development Officer Rajendra Birari. In order to provide a safe and fun environment for children while coming to the police station premises, the walls of a room on the ground floor of Azadnagar Police Station have been painted with children-friendly pictures.<br />''<br />''Speaking after the inauguration, district Superintendent of Police Shrikant Dhiware appreciated this initiative and wished good luck to the team. Mr. Diware said that in the juvenile justice system, it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that the safety of the child is foremost. He added that the system should see that the best interest of the child is taken care of. He stated that its the need of hour to create a child sensitive system and an environment where the child feels free from fear. He suggested the team to inculcate the child friendly process in the juvenile justice system.</span>
