Maharashtra’s Anti Corruption Bureau – ACB has launched a preliminary inquiry against NCP leader and state’s Water Resources Minister Sunil Tatkare. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai today, Director General (Anti- Corruption Bureau) Raj Khilnani confirmed the news. He added that the inquiry will be in response to the complaint filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiyya who has alleged that various government agencies had aided Tatkare and his kin in land grabbing and money laundering.The probe against Tatkare comes at a time when NCP leader Ajit Pawar has resigned as Maharashta’s Deputy Chief Minister following allegations of irregularities worth crores of rupees during his tenure as irrigation minister between 1999 and 2009.
