<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra is witnessing a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases, the coastal Konkan region neighbouring Mumbai is also seeing a consistent surge in fresh Corona cases. Konkan region consisting of districts Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigarh, among others registered higher number of cases since last few days.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that for the sixth day in a row, the number of new corona patients in Ratnagiri district continued to record high numbers. Today 69 new cases were recorded across the district taking the total tally of currently infected patients to 10,848. The death toll has also continued to rise. With three patients succumbing to the infection today the total death tally has risen to 375. The recovery rate is also declining in the district as the rate of fresh cases is higher than the daily recovering number of patients. The current recovery rate in the district is 92.32 per cent while the death rate is 3.45 per cent.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Since last few days, the natives from the region staying in Mumbai have been visiting the region in larger numbers for the traditional Holi or Shimgotsava. Following this inflow the administration has increased the number of testing. Today 1300 people were tested for the disease. In Sindhudurg district also, Corona positive cases are increasing. With 27 new cases recorded today, the number of active patients has risen to 372 in the district.&nbsp;</span>
