In Maharashtra, the Western Naval Command Mumbai organised a half marathon at Azad Maidan in Mumbai today. Around 16 thousand people gathered and ran from Azad Maidan, covering the entire length of the iconic 'Marine Drive' towards Haji Ali, all along the sea coast, with the message of "Clean Coasts and clean seas make healthy lives". People of all ages participated in this marathon.<br />''<br />''Vice Admiral of Western Naval Command Mumbai Dinesh Tripathi flagged off the run. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Tripathi said the event is poised to continue on its journey of becoming bigger, better and stronger. The race is conducted in three categories viz.21km Aircraft carrier, 10km Destroyer run and 5km Frigate run. He further said the Navy wants to give the message of physical fitness and distance running among countrymen. He mentioned, "It is noteworthy that this marathon was started in 2016 and this year is its sixth edition".<br />''<br />''Medical squads and other necessary arrangements were made to deal with other emergencies during the marathon. The Navy has expressed gratitude to the Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai Police, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Department of Youth, multiple partners and numerous volunteers for successfully organising the event.&nbsp;<br />
