Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil today said that sugarcane growers need to divert their attention on manufacturing of Ethanol. He was speaking at the inaugural function of the Ethanol project at Rajarambapu Sugar Cooperative factory in Islampur this afternoon.<br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Patil said that if sugar is produced, the goods remain in the warehouse and for every sugar sack the manufacturer is bound to pay interest of Rs 250 to Rs 300. He added that instead sugar producing ethanol is a cost effective alternative as well as the need of the hour.</span><br />
