Maharashtra: Various measures taken by district authorities to contain spread of Corona virus

<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, various measures have been taken by the district authorities to contain the spread of Corona virus like imposing Janata Curfew, suspending classroom education of Class 5th to 9th besides, collecting fines from the violators who do not wear a mask at public places. Recording its highest single-day count as many as eight thousand eight hundred and seven were found positive in Maharashtra yesterday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Mumbai too, a huge spike was witnessed with the city logging one thousand one hundred and 67 fresh cases. Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration Department has said that there is adequate stock of medicines, masks and sanitizers in the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that Commissioner of Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration, Abhimanyu Kale said that there are 51,425 vials of Remdesivir injection, 20,15,381 tablets of favipiravir and 1.97 lakh vials of remdesivir injections are available for supply at the mylan lab in Nagpur. The commissioner said, stock of medical oxygen is also available in adequate quantity, and it is being supplied to COVID dedicated hospitals and other hospitals in the state. Mr. Kale further said that there has been no additional demand of medical oxygen from any part of the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, more than 51 thousand beneficiaries were given the jabs of vaccine against COVID-19.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Around 29 thousand health care workers were given the first dose of the vaccine, whereas 22 thousand were given second dose of the vaccine. Till now, more than 10 lakh 80 thousand health care and frontline workers have taken the jabs of COVID vaccine in Maharashtra.</span>
