Maharashtra Tourism Dept issues SOP for hotels, food courts, restaurants & bars

<span style="color: #222222;">The Maharashtra Tourism Department today issued the Standard Operating Procedure for the hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars in the state which are going to resume functioning at 50 per cent capacity from 5th of October.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As per the new SOP only cooked food should be given to the customers in the restaurant, salads like raw and cold foods should not be included in the menu card.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It stated that Corona symptoms such as fever, chills, cough should be checked at the entrance of the restaurant, only customers with no symptoms should be admitted. It also mentioned that the face mask is allowed to be removed only while eating and wearing mask at other times is mandatory. It said that customers should observe physical distance while waiting outside the restaurant. It is mandatory to keep hand sanitizer in restaurants. The standard operating system suggested that that digital payments should be preferred to cash payments and that all necessary precautions should be taken when transacting in cash.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It also stated that restaurant furniture, rest rooms and hand washing areas should be cleaned from time to time and there should be glass barriers while interacting with customers at the counter.</span><br />''
