Maharashtra government will make arrangements for chartered aircraft to bring students of Northeast back to educational institutions in Pune or Mumbai from Guwahati. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told a goodwill team from Arunachal Pradesh, led by Takan Sanjoy MP, on Tuesday that concessional chartered flights would be offered to students willing to come back.
Chavan has said that if state governments send written requisitions, officials will be ready to receive students at airports to escort them to their institutions with full security. Chavan has also suggested preparation of a list of all NE students studying in various cities in Maharashtra.
